Legend of the Crystal Blade

Welcome to the beautiful and mysterious land of Acus. This land is filled with breathtaking sights, perilous dangers, and enough lore that it'll make your head spin. Nearly one thousand years ago the great Fae King, Orris, went insane and tried to destroy the mortal realm with an army of risen dead. A group of several heroes set out to locate the legendary crystal blade and locked the mad king away in another dimension with the blade. The blade was then hidden away to prevent anyone from being manipulated into opening the prison and releasing the seething Fae. Recently there has been reports of the smaller settlements being razed to the ground by legions of undead, and it's only a matter of time before the capital's start to fall. The land is in desperate need of a group of heroes to once again locate the blade and find the source of the dead to put an end to the carnage. 


This roleplay is based off of a novel that I'm working on (I've tweaked it so that it fit for a group). I thought I could get some help from the lovely community here. You're going to have to bear with me for the next few posts because it's going to be jam packed with a lot of lore. If you want to participate I might suggest reading them, because it will explain many of the mannerisms of the different races including what they're primarily known for, who they worship as gods etc. I'll try and make it as short as I can without leaving out too much.  After the posts about the lore I'll make one for the rules and roles before opening the thread for business. I understand that there isn't that many people on this site at the moment, but I'd like to hope that there are people who are interested in doing a group roleplay!
